This book was written in memory of, and dedicated to my mother, Henrietta Lee Taylor, Warren and my oldest sister, Geraldine LaVerne Taplin. With love, dignity, courage and strength, both fought the battle of their lives, with cancer.
Geraldine’s bought ended November 17, 1985 to breast cancer, at the early age of 36. It was also three months to the day, after my marriage to Mason. My mother died 10 years later, September, 1985 of breast and lung cancer.
It’s because of strong, determined women like my mother and sister that I go forth on my journey to publish these poems.
Each individual poem is a message for someone, or to someone, written from the heart . Writing poetry is a gift from God. One that I will treasure forever.
This book is also dedicated to the man of my dreams, my King, who’s also my rock and my husband, Clarence Mason. Thank you "Babe" for being my rock and anchor of strength. I love you for making me the "World’s Most Beautiful Woman".
Thank you God for making this man for me to care for and love forever, trusting that he continues to love, protect and care for my every needs.
My extended thanks to my friends, family and all that contributed their gifts and talents to bring GOOSE BUMPS to life!
