Synopsis
This curriculum, designed to be used by communities from all streams of Judaism, is for youth in grades 6-8. It consists of five sessions, complete with text studies, interactive activities and discussion questions. Focusing on the tools needed to build healthy relationships and to prevent dating violence, the course explores issues related to self-esteem, healthy friendships and dating relationships, as well as offering strategies for helping those who are involved in abusive relationships.

About the Author
Irit Eliav is the Director of Education at Congregation Beth Shalom in Seattle, WA, where she previously served as Youth Director for five years. During her four years as a Community Advocate at the Eastside Domestic Violence Program in Bellevue, WA, Irit provided advocacy, education and support for victims of domestic violence. Irit received her Master's in Social Work, with a concentration in Children, Youth and Families, from the University of Washington.
