If you are someone who remembers with great nostalgia the old crackerbox basketball gyms of Kansas--you know, those tiny courts with overhanging balconies, the wall for out-of-bounds--if you are the type of person who gets misty-eyed every time you see "HOOSIERS", then this is for you.
"HALLOWED HARDWOOD" contains fifty-one stories of Vintage Basketball Gyms of Kansas built before 1950. They are photographed with an old coach, player, or interesting personality to tell great basketball stories of days gone by. This unique book has stories of small schools, large schools, colleges, city auditoriums, a prison, a warehouse. Featured Hall-of-Famers include Dean Smith, Ralph Miller, John McLendon and small town heroes.
