It is 1944. Zoe Lambros is a young Greek woman with vengeance in her heart and a faith in God that has been shattered by the death of her family. Eva Muller is the daughter of the German major in command of the troops occupying Zoe's village. This is a story of courage, hope and strength, as Zoe and Eva find unexpected love in extraordinary circumstances. This, the first book in the fully reworked Intertwined Souls series, chronicles the first part of Eva and Zoe's journey from war-torn Europe to a new life in Australia.

Mary D. Brooks - aka MaryD - is a long time bookworm. During her childhood, it was never hard to guess her whereabouts; if she wasn't in her room putting pen to paper (long before computers made life much easier for writers), she was in the local library sitting in a big comfy chair and taking in the power of the written word. She lives in sunny Australia with her pet cat and the many lizards and dead orchard-leaves her feline boss brings home. She loves to read (naturally), is an artist, enjoys dabbling in web site design and runs a few sites when she's not working. Mary cut her teeth as a writer at the tender age of 8, writing scripts for TV shows that she watched. At the age of 11, a revelation occurred; this was what she wanted to do with her life, to become a writer. Alas, fate directed her to other things but now she's back on track.
