Donna Ciocca, a New Hampshire resident, is an educator at both the middle school and university levels. She has long been an authority on children s literature, and has been a frequent presenter and keynote speaker at professional conferences and workshops. She has been the recipient of several awards for her contributions to literacy. Harley & Homer was Donna's first major book, and she has shared its development with her students along the way, much to their delight. A native of southeastern Missouri, Donna shares the influence of her upbringing with her readers. The author is married and has three adult sons and two grandchildren. She is an avid gardener and creative artist.
