9780975311905: Take Her Back

Heartwarming tale in verse of suspicion and concern, and then of acceptance and love. Andy-Bear has been the "one and only" Golden Retriever for awhile. See how he deals with this "threat" to his domain. A beautiful story for children, especially those expecting the arrival of a new sibling. Superbly hand illustrated.

From the Publisher:

A great book for dog and Golden Retriever owners. Its hand illustrations catch the true essence of the breed, and each drawing enhances the story line. A very good children's story with wonderful illustration for all to enjoy. Especially relevant for those families with children preparing for the arrival of a new sibling.

From the Author:

I originally started to write stories in verse about two Golden Retrievers that shared our life for eight wonderful years - Andy and Maddie. The intent was to honor these two dogs and allow other Golden lovers a chance to enjoy their stories. Babs, the illustrator and Golden owner, sketched from past photos of the dogs, and captured the true essense of the breed. Her drawings are an integral part of the story.

Soon after writing and illustrating the first book, "Take Her Back", we realized how applicable the story was for children preparing for the arrival of a sibling, and how much a youngster would enjoy the illustrations and verse. Future books in the Andy-Bear Tales series will continue to focus on both the Golden lover's and children's themes.

Finally, Babs and I wish to help agencies dedicatd to caring for and/or rescuing Golden Retrievers. Consequently, a portion of profits from the sale of Andy-Bear Tales books will be donated to these agencies.
