This coming-of-age story, set in Australia in 1950, centers on two boys from a safe suburban world. Thinking they're in trouble, the pals decide to run away. Soon, they face new adventures and daunting challenges head-on. David Tredinnick is nothing short of outstanding as the boys travel, meeting a happy-go-lucky Irishman, a soft-spoken priest, an older Aborigine man and his nephew, and many others.
