About the Author:

Clare Hanrahan is a peace and social justice activist and an alumna of Alderson Federal Prison Camp. She spent six months (July 2001-Jan. 2002) as a political prisoner in the oldest and largest federal prison camp for women. Hanrahan's crime-- misdemeanor trespass as part of a peaceful protest at the U.S. Army School of the Americas.
