Synopsis
John Brooks Walton's Tomorrow's Historic Tulsa Homes is the fourth book he has written on one of his favorite subjects, Tulsa's historic residences. This book begins with the year 1945 and tells of the homes built in that period to the present. It also highlights the architects who designed these homes and those who live in them. Walton's writing portfolio includes three books based on the lives and bodies of work of three architects: Charles Stevens Dilbeck, John Duncan Forsyth, and John Brooks Walton.

About the Author
John Brooks Walton has practiced architecture in Tulsa for over 50 years. His specialty is residential architecture, and enjoys both new construction and designing additions and restorations for existing homes. During his apprenticeship Walton was fortunate to work with one of Tulsa's most recognized residential architects, John Duncan Forsyth. After graduating from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts in architecture, Walton moved to Tulsa in 1954 with his wife Margaret Stanley Walton, a native Tulsan, and their one year old son, Brooks Walton. In 1978, John and Margaret purchased the historic W.G. Skelly Mansion and lived there with their six children for 17 years. Today, Walton continues to practice a bit of architecture and creates his own style of artwork.
