Each route description starts with extensive info, including distance, estimated time needed to complete the route, starting elevation, highest elevation, elevation gain, difficulty level, an assessment of avalanche danger and a list of all the relevant state, federal and privately produced maps.

About the Author
DAVE MULLER is the author of both Colorado Summit Hikes for Everyone and The Colorado Year Round Outdoor Guide, both bestsellers for The Colorado Mountain Club Press. He is a practicing psychiatrist and was also the Denver Post hiking columnist for fourteen years. He lives in Denver.
