VOLUME 1 OF THE WE HEAR AND PLAY SYSTEM: This piano book supports the Education for Absolute Pitch handbook, which is available separately.
Ruth and Nayouki Taneda have taught music to children for more than 30 years. In this piano method, they show how it is possible to develop absolute pitch (also known as "perfect pitch") in preschool children, giving them a skill previously thought of as an innate privilege of only especially gifted musicians. In the process, they present a new style of instrumental instruction.
