Matt Severnson has assembled a team of quasi-geek individuals to build a revolutionary city-based website. The system becomes a hit, although fast food addiction, incessant sexual tension and heated bingo competition distract the group. While the opportunity arises to build the first government-sponsored high-speed Internet portal, the issue comes second to Matt's relationship with co-leader Katy. Their fiery romance continues despite bickering over everything...except fish dinners.

From the Author:

Question: What are your feelings about privacy on the Internet?

Answer: The Internet does allow information to be passed in mass quantities relatively easy, but overall, I think people can still choose to a certain extent how much they want to keep private. It would be possible for any ISP to track more information than it has power to do so. It's really up to the government and companies to determine if they want to use more information. Personally, I think if they are going to, they should for all people and not just target specific people. Overall, I expect technologies to improve to a point where privacy-type data will be destroyed when it is of no use.

From the Back Cover:

The Developers tells the story of Matt Severnson, who has assembled a team of hard-working, quasi-geek individuals to build a revolutionary website for a northern Michigan city. The system becomes a big hit despite the group members' idiosyncratic traits. Fast food addiction, incessant sexual tension and heated bingo competition constantly distract the team. While the opportunity arises to build the first nationwide, government-sponsored high-speed Internet portal, the issue comes second to Matt's relationship with Katy, the team's co-leader. They cannot hate each other enough to halt their steamy romance, but they can't love each other enough to share anything but a fish dinner.
