When Tommy's morality gets the best of him, he decides to give it all up and stay away from the dark side but for how long? Born in the Bronx, NY, Joe Black started his career early on as a Street Hustler, leading him to be indicted by 1992, and incarcerated by the FEDS for crack conspiracy in North Carolina. Locked down for a 20- year bid, Joe decided to “escape” his incarceration, and penned “Street Team”, which circulated correctional facilities for over 10 years, in handwritten manuscript form. His “official literary debut” came in March 2005, when Street Team was finally published with the help of Hampstead Publishing. Receiving praise at the 2005 Harlem Book Fair, international press and coverage in various media outlets solidified Joe's claim as the “Prince of Street Lit” Joe's passion for writing good street novels has transcended into a desire to succeed outside the penitentiary walls. Due to be released in late 2008, and with his second novel Squeeze flying off the shelves, Joe Black is definitely BACK!
