Deljah S. Dickson is a 21 year old, energetic, author, speaker, producer and entrepreneur. Born in Los Angeles, California. She is creative, yet detailed and disciplined. Her experience is broad and extensive for her age. She s independent - she traveled to Japan alone and stayed in the homes of four Japanese families while in high school. She has interviewed great artists such as Stevie Wonder and written for a community-based newsmagazine in Los Angeles. She was recently selected by Nelson publishing to co-write an urban Bible titled "REAL." Deljah has spoken to over 100,000 students and parents as a guest panelist on the Black College Expo Tour. This is a 7 city tout that encourages African American youth to attend Historically Black Colleges. She consistently talks to students in an attempt to help improve the statistics of successful college bound freshman in high schools and on college campuses all over the United States. Deljah has been an invited guest at Howard University's alumni authors event for the 05 and 06 homecoming and a guest speaker for the Essence college tour at Howard University. Recently, Deljah was the invited guest speaker at the National Conference for the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority in Philadelphia. Her vision is to remove the apprehension, anxiety and confusion from the minds and heart of each college freshman, by providing a roadmap to maneuver through life's first independent journey by changing challenges into a positive experience of academic pursuit. Currently, Deljah is attending Columbia College-Chicago pursuing a major of creative writing and Television production while traveling through out the United States sharing powerful impacting wisdom to young and seasoned audiences. When she isn t at school she lives in Los Angeles with her mother.
