About the Author:

At the height of World War II, Vincent Youngberg dropped out of High School and enlisted in the Navy. He served in both the North Atlantic and South Pacific as a gunner on merchant ships carrying supplies to our troops overseas. After his discharge from the Navy, he worked as a helper on a truck delivering furniture. He went back to school under the GI Bill. He completed his high school requirements, and went on to Pace College to earn a BBA Degree in accounting. After five years with Ernst & Ernst, he worked five years with the B. F. Goodrich Company. As a result of a profound retreat experience at a Passionist Retreat House in West Hartford, Connecticut, he felt a calling to the religious life. He entered the Passionist Congregation in 1959, and was ordained to the priesthood in 1967. Fr. Vincent returned to graduate studies in 1972, and in 1976 was granted a Masters Degree in Human Development. Since ordination to the priesthood, Fr. Vincent has conducted missions and retreats around the world; Europe, Africa, the Philippines, the West Indies and the United States. The demand for his message continues to keep him on the move.
