Rev. Dr. Gloria Milow takes you on a journey into her personal life and holds nothing back. She shares her stress, her sins, secrets, struggles, and even the loss of her son. Believing firmly that secrets can make you sick, Dr. Milow is determined to tell the whole truth. Most church secrets rest in the cemetery. We hear of women being abused by their parents, by their husbands, by their bosses, but not in the church by their pastors. Gloria Milow was manipulated into becoming a mistress and "Madam" at the age of seventeen to pastors of some of the largest churches in Los Angeles and New Orleans. This book is a life jacket for women who feel that they are drowning in sin and in secrets, and for women who have suffered abuse in the church. God wants to put you back together again –Let Him. It's not what you "go through" that counts the most, but it's what you "come through" that really matters.

Dr. Gloria Milow is the founder and pastor of MG’s Full Gospel Church. She has thirty years of experience in teaching and counseling, and has been as assistant principal. She holds three lifetime credentials in California in the following areas: Pupil Personnel (counseling) (k-12); English, Psychology, Sociology (7-12); and Psychology (Community College) and an education leadership (k-12) in Georgia. Gloria is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. She is an entrepreneur & previous owner of “Classie Fashions by Marie.” She has owned multiple businesses in Los Angeles and was the owner of Milow’s Family Child care. Dr. Milow received her AA degree in General Studies from Compton College in Compton, California, February 1972; a BS degree in Sociology, Psychology, and English from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, August 1972; a MA degree in Educational Psychology from Azusa Pacific with honors, May 1978; and her Ph.D. in Pastoral Ministry from Eternal Word Graduate School in Carson, California, with a 4.0 grade point average, October 2001. Gloria is the mother of four children, Phamesha, the late James Jr., Michael Johnson, and Elease Milow-Simmons. She fostered three groups of children, a total of eight, for four years. The judge even gave her permission to take them out of state on vacation. Gloria always knew that she was destined for greatness despite her many struggles with sin and stress. She was locked in bondage because of secrets, but survived. At the tender age of seventeen, she became the mistress for several very prominent pastors in Los Angeles and New Orleans, Louisiana; in fact, she became the madam for these pastors. Dr. Milow suffered five failed marriages. Then on July 26, 2002, she suffered a crushing blow when her son, James Russell Johnson Jr., was murdered in cold blood from his home. Approximately 7 P.M.—the same hour that her son was murdered—Dr. Milow was at her church having all night prayer service. She was praying to God, asking Him to save her children and cover them with His precious blood. Pastor Milow has performed the eulogy for many young men, and now she had to eulogize her elder son. Her comfort is found in the Holy Word. During this painful period, she also gathered strength from a song by Yolanda Adams entitled, “The Battle Is Not Yours, It’s The Lord’s.” These five Ss have been a part of Dr. Milow’s life—A Secret I’ve kept, I sinned, I Struggled, I was Stressed, but yet, I’ve survived—all in Jesus’ name. Not only has she survived, she has OVERCOME!
