About the Author

JOHN BURNS is the author of, The Many Adventures of Pengey Penguin, a charmed animal adventure beginning in the frozen lands of Antarctica. It quickly paves a magical roadway through the mountain ranges and rain forests of South America.
How Pengey and the two friends he'll meets and travel with over the Caribbean and how they end up in New York City is all part of a wondrous tale, suitable for all us kids in the 'wonder years'.

John Bunrs is a full time writer. He is the only author ever awarded four coveted REMI awards in a single awards night, in the entire history of the Huston International Independent Film Festival. He is also well known for his 400 page, crime/thriller, The Glass Alibi.

Burns was the creative force of the original RadioMystery.com. He produced and directed for the stage at the once famous, Bannam Palace Theater in San Francisco. His script writing career includes his work with the Executive Producers of, Catch Me If You Can and, I-Robot and Don Bluth, director of, The Secret of NIHM.  

Burns is a former cable TV Executive, producing the first cable production featuring the Academy Award Winning films of Toho Studios and director Akira Kirosawa.

Burns was educated at The School of Contemporary Music, Boston Massachusetts and U.C. San Francisco. He studied screenwriting with Professor Richard Walters, UCLA, and with screenwriting legend Shane Black (Predator, Iron Man Three). He is a graduate of The Hollywood Film Institute.

John Burns is married and splits his time living in the historic Bohemian district of North Beach, San Francisco and the beautiful desert oasis of Palm Springs,California.
