Synopsis
This is the story of Ploesti raiders, shot down on a mission to Romania. The author became one of a small group of Allied prisoners held in Bulgaria. Their stay under adverse conditions and treatment becomes the driving force for a secret mission to return to Bulgaria in search of war criminals. Carefully researched, with supporting documentation, it is an inspiring account, part of our American history that is not commonly known.

About the Author
Graduated from Southern Methodist University with an BBA and from Texas Christian University with a BBA, Robert Johnson spent his career on the financial side of the scale, but here, he reveals his early life as a gunner in the 15th Air Force of WWII.
