About the Author

Richard A. White was born on April 14, 1952 in Oak Park, Illinois, and was raised on the Northwest side of Chicago, where his father, William, provided a decent living for wife Lucille, and family. Having been born number three amid five children, Richard took an early interest in reading, going to the movies, and television. Among his favorite TV shows were Sgt. Bilko, The Honeymooners, and Lost in Space. He especially enjoyed The Jack Benny Show. As a boy, Richard aspired to becoming a comedy writer. His mother, however, had other plans, turning him into a musician instead. Still, his early years produced an accomplished composer and arranger clarinetist and saxophonist. Having joined the US Marines in 1975, Richard worked as a musician throughout his entire hitch. Now retired, Richard takes pleasure in doing what he likes most... Writing!
