About the Author:

Julaine Smith is a successful certified public accountant with more than sixteen years of experience in corporate finance. She has managed numerous mergers and acquisitions and helped raise $700 million in an initial public offering. Smith reached the top of her corporate career as division vice president of finance and chief financial officer at AT&T Broadband. However, Smith came to the realization in 2001 that financial success was not a panacea. She needed to create a lifestyle in which her relationship with her family, her relationship with God, and her career pursuits were in sync with her ultimate ideals and desire to glorify God. In 2005, Smith founded ARISE Business Solutions, LLC, a training and development firm created to equip women for business success.
Smith is the former chief financial officer for The City Church, Kirkland, Washington. She completed her public accounting experience at Price Waterhouse and received her bachelor of science degree in business administration - accounting from California State University, Hayward. Smith and her husband have one son and reside in Bellevue, Washington.
