"Bless the Children, A Mother's Journal" is a collection of short rhyming stories extracted from the author's childhood memoirs and her journal as the young mother of exceptionally bright and very energetic children. Astutely and lightheartedly, these stories capture childhood as it flutters by ever so swiftly in its many phases and moods - the joys, the disappointments, and all the wonders of discovery. "Bless the Children" will spark your own memories of days long gone and more recent experiences, whether your own or those of the children in your adult life. Smiles are guaranteed along with "oohs," ahs," ahas," and even a few "oys" as you read the vivid naratives and view the charming illustrations that enhance the rhythmic descriptions. "Bless the Children" is a must read for every adult who has ever been a child, parented a child, grandparented a child, taught a child, neighbored a child, or has been acquainted with a child.
