A Calm Position is a book of photography and poetry. The book explores love, loss, one's potential, calmness, contentment (the search there of,) hope, failure, dancing and the letting go of thoughts to a place where they can roam free. It is a journal of sorts that you are invited to peruse. Feel free to create your own pictures for the words and your own stories for the images.
Winner of the Independent Publishing Book Awards Gold Medal for poetry.
'Jon's photographs have as much to say as his poems do and in fact are visual poems. Each poem made me want to know more.'
Nina L. Diamond, published author, journalist and judge in the Independent Publishing Book Awards
'In A Calm Position, Jon takes us on a journey through a variety of poetry forms. The result is a supremely gratifying collection that gives the sense of sitting on a secluded balcony with a loved one.'
-Award winning poet, William Roetzheim
