The authors clearly love to teach and they tackle the difficult topic of 'teaching teaching' with infectious energy and great effectiveness. Even though I have taught for more than 25 years, I have learned a great deal from reading this book. ----David R. Wirtshafter, PhD (from the foreword), Professor of Behavioral Neuroscience, University of Illinois at Chicago
A readable and comprehensive book that will prove indispensable for those approaching college and university teaching. I wish I'd had it 21 years ago with I first started to teach. ----James Ogloff, PhD, JD, Foundation Professor of Clinical Forensic Psychology, Monash University (Melbourne, Australia)
As someone who came to teaching from the business world, I found this book extremely practical. I revisit its chapters often, either to get inspiration or to find new ideas I can immediately use in the classroom. ----John C. Young, BMath, CA, Instructor, School of Business and Economics, Wilfrid Laurier University (Waterloo, ON, Canada) and DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University (Hamilton, ON, Canada)
