"Single But Never Alone" is a one year weekly devotional that's designed to be a partnership book used among friends or small group fellowships. It's a great resource for singles and young adult ministries to use in addition to the Bible. Or you can enjoy it solo. It addresses issues that every single faces at some time or another.
This book will provide you with the means to gain spiritual wisdom, knowledge and understanding, which will ultimately lead to your spiritual growth and proper perspective on life. As Christian singles, your life journey consists of seasons of: challenges, disappointments from failed relationships, family drama, financial pressures, loneliness, despair and depression. Your journey with these devotionals will help you to not only overcome these common issues for singles, but also thrive through them.
Through the past few years God has opened La Tasha's eyes and heart to the cares and burdens His singles face. She believe many of her own struggles as a single were not merely for her own growth, but also to keep her in a posture of compassion for His singles. This is why she was compelled to write this book.
Consequently, the devotionals that are in this book are unique in that they were created with a four-fold purpose, to: 1.) Bring singles into a deeper, more intimate relationship with God; 2.) Bring comfort and hope to singles facing loneliness and depression; 3.) Teach and encourage singles to make the most out of their singleness; 4.) Teach singles to love, fellowship, encourage and share one another burdens with their - prayerfully selected-devotional partners. Together you and your devotional partner can look forward to starting each week, refocused with the right perspective on life. There will be challenges, decision-making issues, temptations and responsibilities you will have to face. A good devotional partner can assist you with godly advice and prayers; and you can do the same for them in return.
La Tasha's goal for this book is to help you become a better Christian, while finding contentment in your singleness. This book consists of five components: weekly devotionals; prayers; spiritual development (food for thought, daily Scripture readings and memory scripture(s)); a journal and a prayer request section in the back. La Tasha is convinced that if you read this book, implement these practices and pray and believe these prayers, you will experience noticeable spiritual growth.God loves you like no one else ever could. And He will reward your efforts for seeking Him and drawing closer to Him.
Allow this book to teach some of you and remind others of you that you are victorious, loved by the God of purpose, destiny, grace and mercy. In spite of whatever you are facing right now, it does not change His view of you, even if your view of yourself has changed. All that you have gone through and are going through is working for your good and for God's glory. By the end of this book we believe that you will accept and rest in this truth...you are Single But Never Alone.
