From 1777 to the present day the Green's footprint has changed little. It is written inside that the Green has very little green perhaps a few trees but mostly dirt and rock paths for humans, horses and livestock. Today we enjoy structured walkways, grass, stone and bronze elements celebrating the Morristown Green's past. We depict here an overlay of the current configuration of the green on a portion of the map commissioned by General George Washington in 1777 during his First Winter in Morristown,
