Two sets of twins, Tyler and Triston, Emmiranda and Jonah, were born on the same day but from very different backgrounds. They meet on their twelfth birthday and quickly bond while embarking on a journey of self-realization as they confront their destiny. Twelve years earlier, events took place that would now throw the twins into an alternate universe where they are required to draw upon previously dormant individual strengths in order to conquer an enemy they did not remember. They encounter unique and wonderful creatures in a fanciful, sometimes frightening world filled with dangers, joys and challenges. Through a series of intriguing and intense situations, the four learn the satisfaction of personal triumph by rising to seemingly impossible challenges with unrelenting determination. ========================== Excerpt from the book: All of the sudden, they heard a faint echo. It was Mickee barking from inside the star figure. Randa, let go of me! Time is wasting and I refuse to argue with you. I have to bring her back! When I return, we ll bury this thing along with these stupid pendants. What if you can t get back and are lost forever? cried Emmiranda desperately. I ll be fine, really, I will! assured Jonah as he escaped from his sister s grip and ran directly in the center of the star formation. Just as quickly as Mickee had disappeared, so did Jonah. Emmiranda, in tears, dropped to her knees next to the outline of the star. This is all your fault! she sobbed, looking up at Tyler and Triston. We would have been just fine if we d never met you! None of this would have happened, I just know it! It ll be okay, Emmiranda, I promise. If Jonah doesn t come back soon, I ll go in and get him myself, assured Tyler, kneeling next to her and placing his arm around her shoulder. Just leave me alone and take this stupid... whatever it is... back! As she removed the necklace with the crescent-shaped pendant from around her neck and started to throw it, the chain wrapped around her wrist and dragged her kicking and screaming into the middle of the star. Then she too, like her dog and brother, disappeared. ****************************** The Em-Cyclopedia found at the back of the book is a handy reference to quickly find the meaning of words the reader may not be familiar with.

Jenaya DayeHawke was adopted at age five and raised on a farm. A devoted mother, nurse, and advocate for children and those with disabilities, Jenaya herself faced many times of extreme adversity. In her late twenties, she realized that she was not living to her full potential, which was like not living at all. In 1998, she co-spearheaded an organization called PAV (pronounced pave: Pledge Against Violence), working closely with youth organizations to promote peace in the schools and in youth s personal circles, encouraging them to build their self esteem with good decisions, and to continue their life paths with wisdom, not with vice. Based in Wisconsin, she has always enjoyed writing and devotes her time to her family, her faith, her nursing career, and to being an advocate of those in need. Revan Eli DayeHawke has always enjoyed writing. He, too, was born and raised in Wisconsin. During his teens, he was an instrumental tool in PAV as an inspirational speaker to youth. Adversity has been no stranger to Revan, who has had major medical obstacles to overcome. Revan believed that with his creative talent and personal insight, he could continue to make a difference in the world through his writing. Based in Wisconsin, he enjoys writing, hackey-sack and acting. He is the oldest of four children. Revan devotes his time to family and faith.
