The first book to show the true creative chaos of the Myspace.com social scene has just been published. The MYSPACE SOCIAL GUIDE is an irreverent, comical, and slightly offensive guide to everything Myspace. The phenomena of Myspace and other social networking sites is the hottest social topic of conversation among young Americans, but the anti-Myspace news stories have almost disappeared. The author of this book focuses on all the creative and entrepreneurial possibilities of Myspace for people from all walks of life.

"Myspace is a tool and not a brand or club" states author, Aaron Bollinger. I m on Myspace, as are 450 of my closest friends, but I've never looked at it as a tool until reading Bollinger's new book, MYSPACE SOCIAL GUIDE (Lineage LLC $14.95). He has a firm grasp on the website's mania as well as the benefits. Surprisingly, this is the only book that focuses on the social world of Myspace.com, even though Myspace is overwhelmingly about social life. The book has the expected and the unexpected. I wasn't too surprised to see pimping your space, greeting and meeting fine representatives of the opposite sex, staying safe on Myspace, and some other major topics. Although, I was in particular pleased to see that Bollinger really gave an informative breakdown for artists with that burning urge to express themselves. From getting your band gigs to showcasing your latest film, Bollinger informs you how to get it done in the most effective way. Hate Fellini? Can t name an indie-band to save your life? You needn t worry. The book is cover to cover a fun read. Aaron s not writing to his audience, rather he is interacting with us, Myspacer to Myspacer. His cool delivery of this casual style couldn t be more fitting for a generation who only opens a book when there s a letter grade riding on it. He s even been kind enough to include a 12-step program for Myspace addiction where he offers creative ways of escape for the junkies. The only problem is that the book is just as much of a fix as the site itself. --Anonymous
