The Author, Dr. Barbara Jones-Jackson is a professional educator. She has taught at every level of education, and served as a principal, dean, director of curriculum, and associate professor. Both her bachelor and masters degrees were earned at Governors State University, and her doctorate in education from Loyola University. Barbara created a non-public school for behaviorally and emotionally challenged foster children. The Illinois State Board of Education reports that her school The Potter s House Learning Center was the only school of its type registered with the State. Currently she heads an educational consulting firm, conducts workshops and seminars on special needs, and professional development. Barbara lives in suburban Chicago.
