Synopsis
Written for young readers (ages 4-8) and based on a true story about a pelican who is injured and rehabilitated. Willie is an Eastern Brown Pelican who loses her wing to fishing line and lure. Willie is rescued by a child and survives. The inspirational story is told in the form of a poem. The book contains beautiful illustrations of the natural beauty of the Gulf Coast.
