The Single Wing Football Offense: How to Use Power Running & Misdirection to Decimate Defenses With Few Athletes is a 125-page, 8½ -11, soft cover book. This book describes the Single Wing Offense in detail with full chapters explaining the base hole openings along with the different back action (cycles/series) to get to the hole. This book is the cumulative product of many other successful coaches' Single Wing systems and/or resources, including Charles Caldwell, Jim Ahern, Ken Kueffel, Tom Lewis, Bob Howard, and Stephen Ragsdale. This offense has a great potential for the underdeveloped athletes success. This is a high-powered, can't find the ball misdirection and power offense. It forces an opponent to change defensive schemes, change defensive tactics, and abandon aggressive pursuit. In this book, I discuss how to install this offense, how to run practice drills, how to keep practice organization, how to deal with problem defensive fronts, how to teach the snap, how to teach the spin and buck maneuvers, and tips on personnel selection.

We outscored opponents 168 to 43 in 6 games. The league had meetings trying to ban my/your scheme from use and they lost. The team that beat us in the superbowl used a variation of spread single wing; they reversed us to death. My defensive ends wanted to chase everything. We went for 2 point conversion and my wide open uncovered motion back had the pass hit him in the numbers, and he forgot about his hands. Another note, the team we lost to was all 12 year olds and did not rotate players. My kids were mostly 9- 10 year olds that were rotated every change of possession with new kids at every position. I made these kids find some toughness for a change this season. I have decided to coach Pop Warner here in the fall, and we will be Single Wing on offense and Gap-Man Pressure on defense. You will hear more from me coach. Keep up the hard work, and thanks a million. --Vincent Murphy
I recently ordered your Double and Single wing books. They were real good with a lot of good info. I coach a 7th and 8th grade Youth team in Madera, CA. We are a small town with a small school. We run the Double Wing with great success. I used the Rocket on occasion and found it to be a good series. One game we faced a team that used a 2-6-3 defense; 2 lineman, 6 linebackers and 3 safeties. I they stuffed everything but the Rocket. Also, we used a Rocket with an inside trap to the fullback at the same time, that really confused them. Anyway good luck on the next book. --Coach Schweikert
Coach, hope all is well. Just wanted to say thank you and I enjoyed your DW book and the SW book as well. Being a DW guy, I thought you book was a great resource for vets and rookies alike. The SW book was strong intro in a simple / complex offense. When are you going to release the DW perimeter book? Thanks again for helping all us newbies. Semper Fidelis. --Virgil Palumbo
