Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Melinda Marian Ferreira developed an early love of literature and poetry when she discovered the works of New Englanders such as Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, and Robert Frost. Profoundly inspired by the sense of connection she felt within their words, she was inspired to write from a very early age. A firm believer that the power of such expression transcends time and place, Melindaa€s influences are based in writings that cultivate human connection and understanding, whether through stories, poetry, or song. She lives with her husband, Chris, on the Seacoast of New Hampshire.
