Melissa Byrum lives in Houston Texas with her husband of 13 years, Rick Duncan. She is a proud parent and entrepreneur. Melissa is very active in all her teenage daughter s school and social activities. Melissa s troubled childhood was what brought her, reluctantly, into the adult entertainment industry in the 1980 s. A few years thereafter, she met Vickie Lynn Smith. Due to her diligence and self improvement, Melissa managed to leave behind the industry that many woman become stagnated in for years. Later, she became a successful partner in her husband s business and has individually contributed to their success and continued growth. In 1992 and 1993, Melissa worked on J. Howard Marshall s payroll as Anna Nicole Smith s personal consultant and manager, but her relationship with Anna was unlike any other individual. Their relationship began as co-workers in 1987 when Anna was known as Vickie Smith. They immediately became best friends and roommates. Over the next few years Anna and Missy were inseparable. Melissa is the only individual who was present during many behind the scenes happenings that occurred, before, during, and after Anna s meteoric rise to stardom. She has appeared on Inside Edition and other television outlets have attempted to interview her, but she has decided to tell her story in a new book.
