ABORTION:

Everyone has an opinion on it for, or against.

You undoubtedly do.
Virtually everyone in America does.
The author of this book does too.
The U.S. Supreme Court has stated one.
But if God is the Author of life . . .

If He has spoken on the issue . . .

Is not His opinion the most important?

What does the Bible say?

In this thoroughly researched and documented book, the author investigates the arguments for and against abortion. He details its history. He recounts the decisions of courts and judges. But above all, he brings to the fore what God Himself has to say on the topic divine counsel so clear the issue can no longer be in doubt.

But in doing so, the author presents here the clear evidence that the abortion issue is but the leading edge of a far larger controversy soon to involve America in its greatest-ever crisis that abortion is but a catalyst for a critical emergency that will threaten our most cherished personal freedoms and even the Constitution itself.

The very survival of America, Bible prophecy clearly reveals, is soon to be threatened.

Those only will survive this overwhelming test who learn of it ahead of time and prepare.

Review:

Few people bring the passion, energy, or insights motivated by serious biblical scholarship to the abortion debate, as does John V. Stevens, Sr. He brings an authentic witness to his claims about biblical authority and the religious bases of his involvement in this divisive debate. --Dr. Paul D. Simmons, Professor of Family and Geriatrics Medicine, Professor of Christian Ethics, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary

Freedom costs more than mere liberty! Freedom is the stuff that men and women have died for, on hundreds of battlefields and under the waves of the seven seas. Why? Because it is the gift of God! Everybody, everywhere, in all times, know the difference between freedom and mere liberty to do as one pleases. Freedom senses the rightness of basic responsibilities. John Stevens has worked this out as he zeros in on one aspect of responsibility. Every reader will understand. --Herbert E. Douglass, Th.D., Theologian, college president, Author of 24 books

John V. Stevens, Sr., a committed Christian who has made the cause of religious liberty his life's work, has produced a thoughtful and thorough book on the issue of abortion. In his own words, The right to believe differently about life and death is a non-negotiable necessity in a free nation. While clearly pointing out the dangers to our constitutional government inherent in dictating religious belief, Stevens also shows that he understands the historical and Scriptural underpinning of the abortion controversy. While most authors use religious or secular reasons for their position, he takes a more comprehensive approach. As a biblical scholar, he bases his conclusions on exhaustive constitutional, theological, historical, and Scriptural research. Whether you ultimately agree with Stevens or not, you will find this book compelling reading. --John Waihee, Governor, Hawaii, 1986-1994
