About the Author:

Michael L. Pitzer is a historian, educator and writer. He developed an appreciation for history and native culture at a very early age and has spent countless hours studying indigenous cultures of North America, traveling to museums and historical sites. Michael holds a Master of Science in Managing Information Technology, Summa cum Laude from Sullivan University and an Occupational Training Certificate from the University of Louisville. In addition, he has taught for local colleges and public high schools in Louisville, Kentucky. Prior to teaching, the author worked in the public sector as an emergency medical technician, state law enforcement officer and adjunct academy instructor for the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
