Aerial, a young, orb weaver spider, is the runt of Spinnerella's spiderlings. He suffers rejection and ridicule from the residents of Spiderville because of his size and inability to do the sorts of things the other spiders do instinctively. When he runs away, Aerial learns how to rise above his limitations in a most unlikely place.

Nancy E. Rewalt is a retired elementary teacher who taught for twenty-three years in Michigan's public school system. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Michigan State University in elementary education.
Reading and writing children's stories have been her joy throughout the years. The idea for Aerial: A Spider's Tale came to her one Halloween while she was thinking of a story to send to her daughter, Miss Rene'e Rewalt's fourth grade class in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her students, as well as everyone else who read the story, loved it so much that Rewalt decided to publish it.
The author presently resides in Casco, Michigan with her husband, Ron, and son, Matthew.Review:
With a smart combination of storytelling and science, Nancy E. Rewalt 'spins' a charming spider tale that teaches children about overcoming disabilities, using determination to learn and grow, and the importance of love and loyalty. Darren Cranford's bold and colorful illustrations bring the characters alive, helping create a book that will inspire readers to see life's possibilities and to believe that miracles really happen. --Jim Barnes, Managing Editor, Independent Publisher Online
