Seth, a young boy, is setting out with his best friend, cousin, father and uncle for an adventurous day of learning how to be a shepherd. Though the boys are excited, Seth's father's sadness weighs on young Seth's optimism. The family is facing hard times as the grazing fields seem to grow more bleak each day. Seth's uncle has a dream that there are glorious fields near Bethlehem, so they are traveling there in hope of finding a good place for the sheep. While on their way, they have a wondrous "heaven-touching-earth" experience of angelic visitation. The revelation of a beautiful, extravagant star guides them onward to Bethlehem. What they find in Bethlehem is more than a "good place"-it becomes the "best place" as they have a transforming encounter with baby Jesus-the newborn Messiah.
