This is a fiction about 3 Indian Immigrant couples in the US. It is time for them to retire now and each of them is faced with different scenarios while planning for their retirements. One of the couples faces a problem between the daughter-in-law and mother-in-law. They are forced to move into a retirement community. Another couple faces the problem of the children feeling that the father is a burden and pack him off to a retirement community, while keeping their mother with them to look after the baby and cook the food. The seperated couple live a miserable life in their separation. A widow and widower in their sixties are also residents of the retirement community. They find attracted to each other. However they are unable to express their love for each other because of fear of society. How these three couples finally solve their problems, finding new passions and interest and love and live a happy life is the story of Seeking Roots.

Iggy Ignatius, born in India, migrated to the United States in the early eighties. His early school education was in Chennai and Engineering at BITS, Pilani. After earning an MBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, he went back to India and became one of the pioneers of the Resort industry there, developing many resort properties throughout the nation. After the Asian financial crisis in the late nineties, he migrated back to the USA. Iggy is currently the CEO of ShantiNiketan Developers, which develops ethnic retirement communities near Orlando, Florida. Iggy has three children Shirley, Jennifer, and Jeffrey. He and his wife Shanti plan to spend their retirement at ShantiNiketan.
