About the Author:
Andrew K. Gibbs ( Andy ) leads Mercer Capital s Financial Institutions Group. Andy provides valuation and corporate advisory services to financial institutions for purposes including mergers and acquisitions, employee stock ownership plans, profit sharing plans, estate and gift tax planning and compliance matters, as well as corporate planning and reorganizations. In addition, he actively participates in projects involving compliance with SFAS 141R and 142, which entail, for example, the identification and valuation of financial and intangible assets under SFAS 141R and impairment testing under SFAS 142. Andy is a CFA charterholder from the CFA Institute. In addition, he holds the Accredited in Business Valuation designation from the AICPA and is a certified public accountant.
