A complete rock climbing guide to North Table Mountain (including the four quarry walls) and the sport climbs of Golden Gate State Park near Dudes Fishing Hole. This 144 page guidebook has a glossy color cover, 32 black & white cliff diagram photos, 14 climbing photos, topo drawings, maps and text. There is detailed information and photos on "Bolts & Top Anchors" to help educate climbers. The guide has over 325 routes including the climbs at the popular Golden Cliffs. There are over 125 routes that have never been documented in any guidebook before. The new routes are at the newly developed quarry walls on North Table Mountain and on the granite cliffs of Golden Gate State Park. This guide offers year round rock climbing adventures both in the foothills and mountains near Golden, Colorado and 20 miles from Boulder. For the cooler months, the slick basalt cliffs of North Table Mountain can be perfect on a sunny day. For the warm season escape to above 9,000 feet to enjoy vertical to overhanging granite crags near Dudes Fishing Hole and Aspen Meadow Campground in Golden Gate State Park. From 5.6 to 5.13 this book has climbs for every climber.

About the Author:

Mark Rolofson has been climbing on Colorado's Front Range for over 38 years. He has established hundreds of first ascents including numerous 5.13s. He is both an avid traditional and sport climber. He has traveled and climbed in Yosemite Valley, the Wind Rivers of Wyoming and the Sawtooth Range in Idaho for long grade V & VI climbs. He has climbed at many sport climbing hot spots including Kentucky's Red River Gorge, Maple Canyon in Utah and Buoux, France. Where the author prefers free climbing on solid hard rock, he has spent much time on soft sandstone, including doing the aid climb "The Finger Of Fate" on the Titan in the Fisher Towers of Utah in 1978 at age 19. Now at age 51, the author still redpoints lots of 5.12s and the odd 5.13. He has written & self published 12 guidebooks including "Boulder Canyon Sport & Adventure Climber's Guide" (Volume I & II), "Clear Creek Canyon Sport Climber's Guide", "Soft TOuch III - A Climber's Guide to the Garden Of the Gods". He wrote the first guide book to both Clear Creek Canyon and North Table Mountain in the "1993 Boulder Sport Climber's Guide". He has spent many winter seasons on North Table Mountain climbing, replacing old bolts and putting up new routes. One of his favorite mountain crags is Dudes Throne in Golden Gate State Park. Starting in 2003, with his friends Kirk Miller & Vaino Kodas, he established most of the climbs at this granite crag. The author is religous about carefully documenting almost every route he climbs at least for his own records if not for future publications. He lives in Boulder, Colorado with his wife, Sharon, two cats and his dog, Tommy.
