Do you have an elementary student who loves computers? Do you want to provide a fun computer science elective, but don't have a big lab or professional experience? We have the solution!
The KidCoder curriculum will teach your student to write their very own Windows and Game programs using the industry-standard Visual Basic programming language. We use a fun, self-study, activity-driven approach to teach computer programming from the ground up! Any student with normal computer usage skills can learn. No teacher expertise required!
This KidCoder: Windows Programming textbook is our first-semester programming course. The student will learn the basics of programming, including creating Windows screens, using data, making decisions, and handling user input. Students will create a different program at the end of each chapter. In the final chapter, students will demonstrate everything they have learned by writing a simple computer game!
After completing KidCoder: Windows Programming, students can begin our exciting second-semester KidCoder: Game Programming curriculum!
