Good News for the Family is a great asset to Christian families who are looking for devotional material that will meet the needs of children of all ages. The topics of the brief chapters range from Bible stories to current events to sports history. Readers and hearers are encouraged to think deeply about the questions that follow each devotional. Answers are given too, so readers are not left in doubt. I love this book! It is simple without being condescending, profound without being preachy, and both biblical and practical. Great family resource! --Dr. Laura Gardner, International Personnel Consultant & Trainer, Wycliffe and SIL
Along with embracing the words of Luke, Bryan incorporates stories from his own life and ministry which present in practical ways compelling truths from this gospel writer. This book proves to be not only a source of encouragement, but an easy-to-use resource for those who seek to deepen and enrich their relationship with Jesus Christ. Good News for the Family is exactly that--good news which will undoubtedly lay a solid foundation for the Christian family as together they explore God's Word. --Joe Dabrowski, Lead Pastor, First Baptist Church of Okemos, MI
First, what a great little book for families. You have done an amazing job, not only with this one on Luke, but also the one from Proverbs. We work with a group of young families in our local church, and I think this book would be a great resource for them as they seek to share God's truth with their kids. So, nice work! I can see this book being used around the kitchen table at meals, or when a child is headed to bed. The short readings give the parents opportunity to also talk them over with their kids. --Perry Bradford, Director, Barnabas International, Rockford, IL
