Paula Jones’ profound passion for art, humanity, and nature is only rivaled by her love of children; motherhood is her greatest accomplishment. At the age of forty-five, serendipity struck in the most literal of ways. A piece of plaster had fallen from the ceiling during home renovations, and landed squarely on Paula’s head. It proved to be the catalyst of a life forever changed. She didn’t sustain any lasting injuries, but it prompted a dear friend to invite Paula to her home for a “painting lesson”, and an artist was born. After finding tutelage from another peer she greatly admired, Paula’s skills were finely honed. The process was a painful awakening, but in the end she produced her first masterpieces. No turning back, Paula went on to paint miles and miles of canvases. Since then, her creations have been featured numerous times in multiple publications, on television and in galleries all across America—from Dallas, Texas to New York City. In addition to an annual special exhibition at Advantage Realty in Russell, Kansas where a portion of proceeds go to charity, Paula has donated to the Public Television Station in Bunker Hill, Kansas, to Project Angel Heart, Saturday Night Alive benefiting the Arts in Denver, and to many other organizations. While she continuously grows as an artist—sculpting is a medium she has embraced— passing on the gift of creativity and self-discovery is important to her. Beginning in 2009, in addition to her regular engagements, she has given lessons in both the public and private sector. To connect with Paula, please visit www.paulajonesart.com
