About the Author:
Elizabeth has her masters in music performance and at one time considered a career in opera. Her teacher's heart wouldn't stand for it though, and so she moved back to Kentucky and found a wonderful elementary school that needed her; she's been there for fifteen years. Elizabeth has always been a writer, but it wasn't until she started working with at-risk children that she found the courage to share her work with the world. The Light of Asteria won honorable mention in the 2010 New York Book Festival, and the Kailmeyra series will be complete in the spring of 2014 with the release of the final book, The Heart of the Ancients. Elizabeth is currently the acquisitions editor for Raven Key Press where she encourages new authors to grow. She lives in Lexington and continues to write and teach. Review:
Once in a blue moon, I come across an author that is both an amazing storyteller and writer. The Light of Asteria gave me romance, action, friendship, betrayal, loss ... everything someone would want in a story ... not only did it give me all of this, but the words that made the story were nothing short of extraordinary. --Haley ya_aholic
Light of Asteria is a refreshing and enchanting expedition into a fascinating and well-developed land of fantasy. Isaacs has developed interesting characters who come vividly to life on the page.--Tracy Riva, Midwest Book Review
The Light of Asteria It is a work of art. It is the book that if I had read it when I was a child, it would have been the reason why I write today. It's just that powerful. --Trisha Wolfe, author of Destiny's Fire
"The Light of Asteria goes beyond the classification of "just a book" into what one might deem, an emotionally charged truth about human nature that often we forget in our day to day lives. It has everything, passion, love, beauty and truth to make this an originally played out novel second to none!"--Jennifer S., book-crazy.com
