Readers can search for the letters with a handheld GPS. Or by using Google earth! No GPS? No problem there is a list of street addresses in the back of the book. Alphabet Denver provides reading fun for all ages and has an activity component that appeals to different generations so that grandparents can search together with their grandchildren and they will both enjoy the experience. Makes for great family fun! Excellent source for educating students on ABCs, poetry, map reading, compass skills, GPS, and builds imagination and brain connections! Great for teachers, home schoolers and visitors to Denver. Alphabet Denver has won a MOONBEAM Award for excellence in Children's ABC Books, but appeals to all ages.

I couldn't believe how much my 5th grade class enjoyed this book! The photos captured their interest and the variety of the poetry and the different cadence as we turned each page kept them interested. I can see this book being used across K - 6 for ABC in the younger grades to poetry, and GPS/Map reading for the older students! --Linda H. 5th Grade Teacher
Alphabet Denver is designed with a geocaching-inspired feature. Every letter has a GPS code - that's latitude and longitude if you prefer to use a compass - to encourage people to visit each letter in person. Most of the letters are a fairly easy walk... --Denver Post
I couldn t believe how much my 5th grade class enjoyed this book! As we turned each page, the anticipation and excitement of each new photo depicting the next alphabet letter heightened their curiosity and interest. They relished the variety of poetry and different cadences that went with every new page. I can see this book being used to educate all grades from Kindergarten through Sixth, both to teach the ABC s in the younger grades, as well as to instruct the older students about poetry, and GPS/Map reading! --Linda H. 5th Grade Teacher
