The Journey Into Buddhahood is a guide to the entire spiritual journey from the initial arising of the mind of awakening to the attaining of complete Buddhahood. In this book, Tempa Lama explains the Five Paths and Ten Stages (Bhumis) of Compassionate Beings and the practices at each stage in a very accessible way, drawing upon examples and stories that reflect the daily life of practitioners in the West. The book also features an introduction by H.E. Menri Lopon, the head teacher of Menri Monastery, India. The Journey into Buddhahood is the practice of attaining complete awakening. Whether we experience happiness or suffering depends on the way we perceive reality. The basis of our experience is the mind. This recognition motivates us to look for a path that not only offers temporary respite from suffering, but that enables us to completely free ourselves and all beings. When we first have this thought of helping all beings without distinction, we enter the Journey into Buddhahood. Tempa Dukte Lama is an ordained Tibetan Bon lama. He is the founder and spiritual director of Olmo Ling Bon Center in Pittsburgh, PA, a Tibetan Bon Center affiliated with Menri Monastery, and the founder of Olmo Ling Publications. Tempa Lama is an artist and poet and author of "Journey into Buddhahood, "The Intimate Mind" and "Inexhaustible Miracles". He trained in Menri Monastery, India, from the age of six under the close guidance of H.H. 33rd Menri Trizin, the spiritual head of the Bon tradition. Tempa Lama has lived in the US since 2000 and teaches in the US, Canada, Mexico, and Europe.
