Hakan Bšakc (b. 1978) is a contemporary Turkish writer. He has published five novels and a collection of short stories. In 2010, Newsweek TŘrkiye Magazine included him among the best under-40 Turkish writers. In the same year, Radikal Kitap (one of Turkeys most respectable book reviews) placed his novel Dark Room second on its best fifty books of 2010 list. Hakan Bšakc has also contributed essays on fiction, cinema, and popular culture to various magazines and newspapers. He lives in Istanbul and works as a copy-writer in an Ad Agency.
