Review:
Teacher as Architect is a game changer for anyone thinking about blended learning. Educators will find this book to be an absolute must for their library. Rarely does a book come along that blends research and explicit strategies to impact teaching and learning. Smith, Chavez, and Seaman provide a practical and realistic blueprint to improve practice and move from understanding to action. --Ryan Imbriale, Exec. Director of Baltimore County Public Schools
Teacher as Architect is a revolutionary road map for decision making in the curriculum development process - with a blended learning framework that leads on questions to ask, what to consider, how to focus our discussions, and what steps to follow. It is accessible and relevant to leaders across the organization;it's broad enough to apply to a wide audience, but also specific enough for individual customization. It serves as both a primer as well as a just-in-time reference tool with practical resources for faculty meetings or the classroom. --S. Dallas Dance, Ph.D., Superintendent of Baltimore County Public Schools
An incredibly timely and necessary contribution to meet a huge need in American Education - a scholarly, readable, and spot-on treatment of our highest needs in today's classrooms: giving our teachers the tools and skills they need to teach tomorrow's children. --Dr. Stuart Gothold, Cllinical Professor for University of Southern California and Former Superintendent of Los Angeles County Office of Education
