About the Book: In a private practice that has now spanned more than 30 years, Dr. Seiler has worked extensively with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Problems, symptoms, and diagnostic categories encountered in those he's been privileged to treat have ranged in severity from the relatively minor to the incredibly severe. He has devoted his career to understanding the concepts and developing the tools to facilitate healing in oneself and others. Early in his practice Dr. Seiler found it increasingly difficult to separate the psychological/emotional from the spiritual, and began to realize that they frequently, if not always, work together. In his book, Battling the Enemy Within, Dr. Seiler describes these concepts and tools which are unique in their ability to bridge the gap between the realm of the psychological/emotional and the realm of the spiritual that have heretofore been kept separate by most. Dr. Seiler has discovered that by tapping into and making use of both realms, people can facilitate major and comprehensive self-healing in a relatively short period of time. About the Author: Born and raised in New Orleans in 1947, Dr. Seiler is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist who began his current solo practice in Little Rock, Arkansas, in July of 1978. After graduating from Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans in 1974, he completed his residency in psychiatry and fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, in the summer of 1978. He was the first child and adolescent psychiatrist in private practice in Arkansas.
