Draw fashion flats with accuracy, clarity, and professional intent using this practical, industry-focused guide to technical apparel drawing.
How to Draw Fashion Flats is a comprehensive manual dedicated to hand-drawing technical flats for clothing design. The book focuses on pencil and marker techniques, using rulers and French curves to create precise, construction-ready drawings. Built on years of professional design practice and college-level teaching experience, it breaks down technical flat drawing into a clear, efficient, and repeatable process.
With more than 700 hand-drawn visuals, the book illustrates every step, term, and concept involved in technical garment drawing. The text is concise and practical, designed to help readers develop reliable, industry-level skills for communicating design ideas accurately, rather than decorative or expressive illustration styles.
