About the Author

Alon Halevy leads Google's database research group in Mountain View, California. Prior to joining Google, he was a professor of Computer Science at the University of Washington in Seattle and an entrepreneur who founded two high-tech companies. He is the recipient of a Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers and a Fellow of the Association of Computing Machinery. He has published over 200 articles in Computer Science and holds multiple patents.
